The Three Musketeers See the RMAF 2014

And a surprise. My favorite room at the show, exaSound, did not have high-efficiency speakers, tube amps, a phonograph, or even a linestage. I'll come right out and say it; this was the best digital sound I've ever heard, and at times a dead ringer for first (not second) generation analog mastertape. "exaSound offered an interesting demo consisting of a comparison between stereo and multichannel music using five Magnepan 1.7 speakers driven by a Bryston 9B-SST-2 amp. I found the surround versions to simply sound more natural and not at all gimmicky which you might expect from multichannel music"
